Internationally known American soprano Amy Shoremount-Obra made her debut at The Met in 2014 as "First Lady" in Mozart's "The Magic Flute." She's been back since and this year performs in two new operas. Amy's sung in venues in the States and Europe. Tune in as Amy takes us on her impressive 'operatic' journey.

A music teacher since 1980, Lisha Lercari is the driving force behind Music and the Brain, a hands-on program that teaches public school children to read and play music through classic keyboard instruction. Neurological research links music and cognitive development, so when children receive sequential music instruction, it impacts their proficiency in language, reading, math, etc. Since this music teacher on a mission founded and created Music and the Brain in 1997, hundreds of thousands of youngsters in grades K-5, have benefitted from the program, in schools throughout New York City, as well as other cities in the U.S. and abroad.

Singer Vivian Sessoms makes a return appearance - and we couldn't be more pleased! An entertainer with a long and impressive resume, Vivian's new album "LIFE" explores the themes of love, loss and life. The first single, the Billie Holiday classic "Strange Fruit," deals with the timeless and potent issues of racism and social inequality. Cabaret singer and actress, Lillias White has been described as a "one-of-a-kind performer who combines the sass of a classic blues mama with the skill of a Broadway star." Her Broadway credits include Barnum, Dream Girls, Cats, Chicago, and The Life, which landed her a Tony award. Lillias is also the recipient of a Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle Award, Obie and a daytime Emmy. She's sung at Carneige Hall, Lincoln Center as well as The Kennedy Center. Houston native and New York-based artist Mary John Frank's creativity has taken her in several different directions. The choreographer and director has worked in film, on stage, music videos, fashion, multi-media and installation art. Her latest project - Debutaunt, is an inter-active dance-based show that explores the age old tradition of being presented to society. In her adapation, the audience is invited to attend a debutante ball and gets to know 5 VERY different debs. In a time when 'coming out' has taken on an entirely new meaning, the concept of a young woman being formally introduced to society is jarring. Oh, by the way, Mary John is a former deb herself.

The world needs more women like musician and social activist Sharon Katz. Born and raised during South Africa's apartheid regime, and inspired by by Nelson Mandela's release from prison, she made history of her own...bringing together 500 black, white, colored and Indian children to form the country's first ever multi-cultural and multi-lingual choir. She took that musical message all over South Africa, and what followed was Sharon Katz and The Peace Train. She continues to spread the message of peace and reconciliation through performances and workshops around the world - the story documented in the film, When Voices Meet.
