Khuraira Musa's career as a successful make up artist and creator of a cosmetics line that bears her name is a far cry from her humble beginnings in a small village in Northern Nigeria. Life began in an orphanage after her mother died in childbirth. She was later adopted by an aunt, who had very little. They lived in a mud hut with no electricity or running water. What Khuraira says she didn't lack, was a tremendous amount of love. Listen in as she shares the details of her life in Nigeria and here in the States in this riveting, no-holds barred conversation.

Barb Collins and Marsha Wallace, two amazing, inspirational and committed women. They are the co-founders of Dining for Women, the largest educational giving circle that connects people in the West with projects supporting women and girls living in extreme poverty in the developing world. Thanks to their tireless efforts and drive to make the world a better place, Dining for Women has 8,000 grassroots members in just about every state and 6 countries, who meet in home and community-based chapters. Members donate what they would have spent dining out. Since it's founding in 2003, DFW has raised more than 5 million dollars. Marsha and Barb will 'blow you away!'

What's it like working as a foreign correspondent? You're about to find out. Alexis Okeowo spent a good part of her career in Nigeria, Uganda and Mexico freelancing for various publications/organizations, including the New York Times Magazine, Bloomberg Businessweek, The Financial Times and the international news agency, Agence France-Press. Alexis, who joined the New Yorker as a staff writer in 2015, is working on a book: A Moonless, Starless Sky: Womoen and Men Fighting Extremism in Africa. She shares the challenges and rewards of global reporting as a woman in what's typically thought of as a man's world.

Priscilla Anany hit the big time - the first time. Her feature, "childreN of the mountaiN," premiered at this year's Tribeca Film Festival. It's the first time a Ghanian film debuted at the prestigious New York event. By the way, she won the Best New Narrative Director Award. Priscilla, who came to the States in 2003, earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina and a Master's in Corporate Communications from NYU. She divides her time between New York and Ghana where she runs i60Productions, the film company she founded in 2011. There's plenty to talk about - so sit back and tune in.

Meet feminist artist, curator and author Robin Kahn. Her paintings, drawings, sculptures, have been exhibited internationally since 1990, and can be found in the permanent collections of The Museum of Modern Art, The Smithsonian Museum of Women in the Arts, and the J. Paul Getty Museum, to name just a few. Robin says her artistic practice is committed to expanding the definition of art by exploring new strategies for engaging the public. To that end, she recently co-curated "The Value of Food: Sustaining a Green Planet." The exhibition, installed throughout the vast interior of Manhattan's majestic Cathedral of St. John the Divine, focused on food security, sustainability and accessibility. Born and raised in Pakistan, Afia Nathaniel moved to New York City just weeks before 9-11 to begin an MFA fellowship at Columbia University's film program. After getting her degree in 2006 Afia began work on her first feature, Dukhtar, which tells the story of a mother and her young daughter who escape from their home in the Pakistani mountains to save her child from an arranged marriage. Ten years in the making, Dukhtar (which mean daughter) premiered at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival.

Get to know journalist Riva Richmond, who specializes in technology, global and small business. She is currently the Director of Digital Media at The Story Exchange, a nonprofit media project dedicated to sharing the stories of women entrepreneurs from all over the world. It recently completed an unprecedented 3 year study of 1,000 women in business, which provides the largest qualitative data about female entrepreneurs to date. The information not only offers an intimate look at the stories of women behind the stats, but at the same time challenges the accepted norms about why we start our own businesses.
