Edris Nicholls was fascinated watching her grandmother work her magic as a hair stylist on the island of St. Vincent, and knew at a young age, she wanted to do exactly that. At 15 Edris joined her mother in New York...and eventually perfected her craft at several salons, later working as a freelance stylist in Paris and Milan. Edris opened her own salon in 2003 in Manhattan's Flatiron District. Known for her aesthetic and multicultural approach to her craft, Edris Salon caters to a very diverse clientele. Khuraira Musa's career as a successful make up artist and creator of a cosmetics line that bears her name is a far cry from her humble beginnings in a small village in Northern Nigeria. Life began in an orphanage after her mother died in childbirth. She was later adopted by an aunt, who had very little. They lived in a mud hut with no electricity or running water. What Khuraira says she didn't lack, was a tremendous amount of love. Listen in as she shares the details of her life in Nigeria and here in the States in this riveting, no-holds barred conversation.

During her 30+ years in the fashion business, Hera has also worked as a makeup artist and stylist. In 2007 she opened Klymaxx Unlimited, a boutique and transformation studio in Provincetown, Mass. for women AND men that includes the LGBT community. This week we revisit our conversation with Wendy Crawford. On a summer day in 1984, while driving to the airport for her first international modeling gig, 19 year old Canadian Wendy Crawford was hit by a drunk driver. Wendy never walked again. As she struggled to come to terms with life as a quadriplegic, Wendy saw the need to develop a way to raise awareness of, and become an advocate for, women facing physical challenges. So, in 2002, she founded mobileWomen.org, an online magazine that provides information and a community for women in wheelchairs. Her story is one we all need to hear.
